California Mother of Two Sherri Papini Found Chained and Beaten After Going Missing During Jog
Three weeks later, Sherri was reunited with her family after she was found on the side of the road at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 24, approximately 150 miles from her Mountain Gate, California, home. The Sacramento Bee reported that Sherri was located when she flagged down a driver on Interstate 5 in Yolo County, California, after being let out of an SUV while "bound with restraints." CHP is on scene and advised that she is chained to something. CHP is advising that she is heavily battered," a radio dispatcher said on Thursday morning, according to the local news outlet. Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said during a news conference on Thanksgiving that Sherri was treated at a local hospital before being released to her family. Her sister Sheila Koester told The Sacramento Bee that Sherri had been reunited with her husband but declined to comment on whether she's seen her children.
