In architectural science, mirrors play a very important role in shifting cosmic energies because of their power of reflection.

01. In front of bed
Should you spot a mirror in-front of the bed, it’ll write chaos between you and the one you display the room with. It gives energies that are negative.

02. In front of your door
Never place a mirror in front of your door. It will reflect all the positive energy coming inside and you will end up losing many opportunities in life.

03. In front of window
You can place a mirror in front of your room’s window from inside. It is a best way to capture positive energies.

04. In bathroom
Place mirror only on east or north wall in Bathroom and never place two mirrors in front of each other.

05. In the children’s bedroom, the mirror should not be placed near the study table as it will distract them while studying.

Bananas a fuel of the future?

Banana waste may find a powerful use in Queensland’s biofutures industry The Queensland Government has allocated $20 million in funding over the next three years to create a sustainable biofutures industry in the State. The Queensland Biofutures 10-year Roadmap and Action Plan was released last June. Biofutures refers to the industrial biotechnology and bioproducts sector: the development and manufacturing of products from sustainable organic and/or waste resources, rather than fossil fuels. The aim is to utilise a number of ‘waste steams’ as feedstocks in the future to generate a wide range of sustainable chemicals, fuels, synthetic rubber, cosmetics, detergents and textiles. While the most common potential feedstocks mentioned are sugar cane bagasse, sorghum stover, algae and recycled waste/used lube oil, Growcom hopes that other feedstocks such as banana waste from the horticulture industry will be utilised. More than 30 000 tonnes of bananas are grown in Australia each year, mainly in northern Queensland. About 20 per cent of the banana crop, some 60 000 tonnes a year, is damaged or bruised during harvesting and transport to packing sheds and cannot be sold. Damaged bananas and banana bunch stalks can be converted into a gaseous fuel by anaerobic digestion, a process in which bacteria break down carbohydrates in the absence of air, producing a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. In fact, all plant material can be processed in this way.

Public russian dance - Hustle Dance, Dance Revolution

In the beginning, there was dance. This isn’t hyperbole: Archaeologists can trace the origins of dance back to the Stone Age. Dance was a means of ritual and healing, of connection and expression. Movement evolved over time — to traditional African dance and European ballroom, to ballet and modern, to tap, to jazz, to funk — and yet, dance’s purpose is no different now than it was in prehistoric times.Dance is, and always has been, wordless communication, and there is perhaps no dance form with more to say than hip-hop.

"They're not just movements for the sake of doing the movement," says E. Moncell Durden, assistant professor of practice at USC's Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. "You're actually saying something. It's based out of a type of conversation that exists in a community."

Hip-hop dance emerged in the predominantly black and Latino communities of New York City's South Bronx in the mid-1970s, on the heels of hip-hop music's genesis, and soon spread throughout the country. "Hip-hop dance involves two dances: breaking and social dances. That's it. Nothing else is hip-hop," explains Durden. Social dances, which began to take shape in the mid-'80s

Delicate hill-country breezes impel the mist to gently part, revealing colourful houses and hotels amid Kandy’s improbable forested halo. In the centre of town, three-wheelers careen around slippery corners, raising a soft spray that threatens the softer silk of the colourful saris worn by local women. Here’s a city that looks good even when it’s raining.
And when the rain subsides – and it does with frequency and alacrity – Kandy’s cobalt-blue skies reveal it as this island’s other real ‘city’ after the brighter coastal lights of Colombo. Urban buzz is provided by busy spontaneous street markets and even busier bus stations and restaurants. History and culture are on tap, and 115km from the capital and at an altitude of 500m, Kandy offers a cooler and more relaxed climate.
Kandy served as the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom, which fell to the British in 1815 after defying the Portuguese and Dutch for three centuries. It took the British another 16 tough years to finally build a road linking Kandy with Colombo. The locals still proudly see themselves as a little different – and perhaps a tad superior – to Sri Lankans from the island’s lower reaches.
Kandy is renowned for the great Kandy Esala Perahera, held over 10 days leading up to the Nikini poya (full moon) at the end of the month of Esala (July/August), but it has enough attractions to justify a visit at any time of year. Some of the Hill Country’s nicest boutique hotels nestle in the hills surrounding Kandy, and the city is a good base for exploring the underrated terrain of the nearby Knuckles Range.

I Started My Morning Meditating In a Pod And It Was Awesome ලස්සන කෙල්ලොන්ට කොන්ඩම් එකක් සමහන් කරලා පෙන්නපු ලංකාවේ කොල්ලෙක්

By now, we’ve all learned about the health benefits of meditation: the practice boosts serotonin levels (yay, happiness!), lowers blood pressure, and can even alleviate chronic pain. But for many of us, taking the time to totally disconnect and do literally nothing for any period of time may seem like an impossible feat. Trust me, I understand the struggle: whenever I have a few spare minutes, I'm tethered to my phone watching YouTube videos or scrolling through my Instagram feed.

I never thought I'd ever be able to convince myself to meditate—but then I heard about Somadome, a pod equipped with soft, colorful lights and soothing music designed to help users fully immerse themselves in a meditative experience.

I decided it was worth a try. After all, my favorite part of yoga is the 10 minutes of savasana at the end of class, since it leaves me feeling calm and refreshed. I was hoping Somadome would provide the same results.

On a Thursday morning before work, I headed to Pure Yoga, a New York City yoga studio that has a Somadome. When I arrived, I was surprised to see the pod set up in a corner of the studio’s lobby, out for the world to see. Would I really be able to focus on achieving a peaceful state in such busy space?

The School Board voted Tuesday in favor of consolidating resources with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida to implement a “School to Work” program for a minimum of 15 students and maximum of 30.
The program will target Pine Forest High School juniors who will be matched for two years with a mentor from corporate partner Navy Federal Credit Union. Students will meet once a month with mentors from Navy Federal to strengthen their academic skills, learn how to resolve conflicts and gain positive interpersonal skills. Students will be exposed to a professional environment and receive industry-specific training.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will provide staff to oversee the program, facilitate matching students one-on-one with mentors, recruit corporate partners from the community, conduct assessments of students and their families, fund all supplies and reimburse the school district for student transportation to work sites. Navy Federal will pay for breakfast and lunch for students during the workplace mentoring day.
Paula Shell, Big Brothers Big Sisters CEO, said the agency is paying for the pilot program with funding the Florida State Association received from the Department of Economic Opportunity.

Such behaviors may include ejaculating onto a partner’s face during s.e.x (a motif in pornography commonly referred to as a “facial”), or into a partner’s mouth. In the latter case, which may arise during fellatio if the penis is not withdrawn from the mouth at the point of orgasm, the giving partner may choose to spit the semen out, or to swallow it. The choice is ultimately a personal one, but with safe s.e.x practices, communication with your partner, and experimentation, you may discover your own opinions about swallowing ejaculate.

Pashto Very hot and sexy dance in room 2016 Four new Pashto films hit the screens

PESHAWAR: Four new Pashto films will be released on Tuesday (today) to add flavour to the festivities of Eidul Azha for filmgoers.Pashto filmmakers have attached high hopes to their films and believe that such heavy-budget ventures will draw crowds to cinemas in the city.
However, many believe this will provide an impetus for the revival of cinema, as this time no Urdu or Indian movie will be screened at any cinemas.
Half of the old cinema houses have now been shut down while the remaining are in deplorable conditions. Nevertheless, they still attract huge crowds of boisterous young men during Eid days, as most of the new movies are release only on this occasion. However, families never visit any cinema house.
The atmosphere is no longer conducive for them. Even names such as Badmashi Ba Manay and Badmashi De Na Manam represent violence that features in these movies.
“It is cinema owners, who are responsible for this, they never accept new cast, they demand for songs to be added, otherwise, they will never screen your movie,” said Syed Montazim Shah, the director and producer of film Za Pagal Yam, his first Pashto movie. “My film was different, it is not violent but cinema owners made me add to spicy songs and refused to screen it without them” Naz Cinema recently screened Mohenjo Daro for families but it was a bad experience, the cinema manager said, as no family visited the cinema hall due to apprehensions.
“There is no demand for Urdu or Indian movies,” manger said. “It is better to run old Pashto movies.”
All four new releases have almost the same cast such as Shahid Khan, Arbaz Khan and Jahangir Khan will appear in leading roles. Besides Peshawar, the movies will also be screened in Karachi and Quetta.
According to Shah, it is currently impossible to make film strictly based on the tradition and culture but there should be some reality to them.
“Making a Pashto movie was no doubt a very bad experience; at least a civilised man cannot make a Pashto movie,” Montazim said.
He added only quality movies are the only way to restore peoples’ confidence in Pashto cinema and that too, over a long period of time.
Film producers believe our society has numerous issues. Even if each of the movies highlights a single issue, people will see themselves in the movie and it will not only the watched by the locals but would also make it to other parts of the world.
“We don’t even have a censor board and movies have to be clear from Federal board and the question is, why have they never stopped a Pashto movie in spite of the presence of violence,” says the film producer.

වකුගඩු ගල් සතියෙන් දියකරමුද -How to stop stress from damaging your health

Whether you spend most of your days at work, at school or looking after the home, is a daily occurrence for most of us. Sometimes stress can be good for us; it can help us to perform at our best during a job interview or when giving a presentation; but too much stress for a long period of time is anything but good for us.

Stress is entirely natural, and occurs when our body releases the hormones adrenaline and cortisol when we feel under pressure. In the days of our ancient ancestors, this was our "fight or flight" response when in danger. While we may not have to worry about predators anymore, we still face a number of other challenges, such as bills and deadlines as we go about our day. This means our "fight or flight" mode is still needed, but if it is engaged for long periods of time, it can have serious consequences for our health.

Among the Christian actresses in Bollywood, Jacqueline will celebrate the festival in her home country with her family.

#Bollywood has very few Christian actresses. In fact, for decades there was no Christian actresses, as the screen was dominated by  Hindu stars with an occasional Parsi. Things began to change during the last decade, and many Christian girls have made it to stardom. The biggest name is Amy Jackson from England, who starred in many blockbuster movies. Not far behind is Jacqueline Fernandez, a girl whose parents reside in Australia (though she hails from Sri Lanka). Jacqueline will celebrate #Christmas this year at her home place in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. At Colombo, she will be joined by her parents who reside in Australia. It will be a quiet celebration with her family away from the glamor world of Bollywood.

The Decline of the West, and How to Stop It

WASHINGTON — For most of the last 70 years, the United States, Canada and much of Europe have constituted a vast zone of peace, prosperity and democracy. The trans-Atlantic community has grown to over 900 million inhabitants of more than 30 countries. It has set an example for regional cooperation in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, and served as a mainstay of the liberal world order. That achievement is in jeopardy. The bonds within Europe have been fraying for some time, but this year has been the worst yet. Last month, Jean-Claude Juncker, the European Union’s highest official, said that the union faced “an existential crisis.” Meanwhile, America’s two major parties have soured on trade agreements with Europe and Asia. Donald J. Trump has welcomed Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, derided American allies and hailed an authoritarian leader, President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, who fears and tries to undermine Western solidarity. Given these pressures, the year ahead may determine whether the West can overcome its current troubles. A vital lesson of the modern era is that internationalism has stabilized the world, while lapses into bellicose nationalism have wreaked havoc. The Bacteria That Mold Your Brain නිවසේදීම ලිංගික උත්තේජකයක් සාදා ගන්න. උත්සහ කරන්න 100%ක් සාර්ථකයි.

“Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are.”
This phrase, coined by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin in the The Physiology of Taste, was over a century ahead of its time. The commonly-held aphorism is true in more ways than one. In one respect, it means that the food you eat becomes a part of your person, and this has long been known — amino acids from digested proteins are incorporated into our own proteins, and the energetic sources from our diet (such as sugars or fatty acids) are added to our own stores of energy. In another respect, the quote can mean that the food you eat influences who or what kind of person you are. This interpretation is also true – the substances you consume can alter your brain chemistry, and thus behavior.Microorganisms in your diet have a fascinating route by which they can change the brain through our microbiome – the ecosystem of bacteria, archaea, protozoa, fungi, and viruses that live on and interact with our bodies. Each adult has about 1 kg of these microbes, which are highly diverse, containing approximately 100 times as many genes as the human genome. The diversity and composition of these microbes in the gut is strongly influenced by diet. For example, mice fed a plant based low-fat diet have a microbial profile that is completely altered by exposure to a high-sugar, high-fat ("Western") diet, which increases the proportion of several classes of bacteria, including Erysipelotrichi and Baccili

How metabolism affects the brain

Microbes participate in metabolism, in part, by producing bile acids to help digest food and by synthesizing choline and short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Deficiencies in choline or SCFAs can cause fatty liver disease or even cirrhosis. Additionally, butyrate derived from the microbiome is necessary to regulate energy use in the colon. Many of the metabolites produced by microbes are also active in the nervous system, and the bacterium Bifidobacteria infantis can even act as an antidepressant through its regulation of kynurenine/tryptophan metabolism, similar to the actions of some antidepressant medications such as elective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which seek to increase the concentration of synaptic serotonin.

My brother got a remote-controlled racecar for his 4th birthday. I, being the jealous big sister, begged and pleaded to play with the car at every opportunity. I should not have been shocked to get my very own remote-controlled car that Christmas.

But I was. The car was black and had a spider emblem on the side. "Santa must have written the wrong name," 6-year-old me declared, ruffling through the pile of balled-up wrapping paper to check. But indeed, the car was for me. The boy car.
Should little boys and girls be able to play with any toy of their color and choosing without fear of physical or psychological consequences? Absolutely. But that issue really pertains to all aspects of life.I grew up a pink-loving, kitty-obsessed girly-girl with Barbies bursting from their storage boxes and enough baby dolls to fill five cribs. Today I'm clueless when it comes to make-up, getting my PhD in the sciences, and wearing blue shoes next month in my blue-themed wedding.I think I turned out alright. Though perhaps I should address that make-up issue before I walk down the aisle.Hurlbert, A.C., & Y. Ling. (2007). Biological components of sex differences in color preference

Be Worried About Boys, Especially Baby Boys

We often hear that boys need to be toughened up so as not to be sissies. Parent toughness toward babies is celebrated as “not spoiling the baby.” Wrong! These ideas are based on a misunderstanding of how babies develop.
This thorough review shows why we should be worried about how we treat boys early in their lives. Here are a few highlights:
Why does early life experience influence boys significantly more than girls?
  • Boys mature slower physically, socially and linguistically.
  • Stress-regulating brain circuitries mature slower in boys prenatally, perinatally and postnatally.
  • Boys are affected more negatively by early environmental stress, inside and outside the womb, than are girls. Girls have more built-in mechanisms that foster resiliency against stress.
  • How are boys affected more than girls?
  • Boys are more vulnerable to maternal stress and depression in the womb, birth trauma (e.g., separation from mother), and unresponsive caregiving (caregiving that leaves them in distress). These comprise attachment trauma and significantly impact right brain hemisphere development—which develops more rapidly in early life than the left brain hemisphere. The right hemisphere normally establishes self-regulatory brain circuitry related to self control and sociality.
  • Normal term newborn boys react differently to neonatal behavior assessment, showing higher cortisol levels (a mobilizing hormone indicating stress) afterward than girls.
  • At six months, boys show more frustration than girls do. At 12 months boys show a greater reaction to negative stimuli.
  • Schore cites the research of Tronick, who concluded that “Boys . . . are more demanding social partners, have more difficult times regulating their affective states, and may need more of their mothers support to help them regulate affect. This increased demandingness would affect the infant boys’ interactive partner” (p. 4).
What can we conclude from the data?
Boys are more vulnerable to neuropsychiatric disorders that appear developmentally (girls more vulnerable to disorders that appear later). These include autism, early onset schizophrenia, ADHD, and conduct disorders. These have been increasing in recent decades (interestingly, as more babies have been put into daycare settings, nearly all of which provide inadequate care for babies).Schore states, “in light of the male infant’s slower brain maturation, the secure mother’s attachment-regulating function as a sensitively responsive, interactive affect regulator of his immature right brain in the first year is essential to optimal male socioemotional development.”  (p. 14)
